Free Invoice & Quotation Generator

Put your own logo and company name on a quotation, proforma invoice or tax invoice, add the lines, and print it or save it as a PDF. Everything happens in your browser — your logo is never uploaded and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Your company details, terms and bank lines are remembered in this browser so you do not retype them. The buyer and the lines are never kept.

Within your own state it is usually CGST + SGST; to another state, IGST. Which applies to a particular sale is for you to determine.

What this tool does, and what stays on your computer

Three documents come out of the same form. A quotation is a price offered to a buyer, valid until a date you set. A proforma invoice is a commitment to supply at that price, usually sent so the buyer can raise a purchase order or arrange payment. A tax invoice is the document raised against an actual supply. The layout is the same; the heading, the dates and what you are promising are not.

Nothing you type leaves this page

There is no account, no upload and no server. Your logo is read by the browser with FileReader and drawn straight onto the page. The document is produced by your own browser's print dialogue, which is also where you choose Save as PDF. If you close the tab, everything except your own company details, terms and bank lines is gone — and those are kept only in this browser, on this computer, so you do not retype them next time.

Written for packaging, usable by anyone

The line placeholders are woven sack and packaging examples — a printed PP sack, a BOPP laminated bag, a block bottom valve bag, an LDPE liner — and freight, packing and a named extra charge are separate lines because that is how this trade quotes. Nothing in it is specific to the industry, so it works for any business that needs a clean document.

How to use it

  1. Pick the document — quotation, proforma or tax invoice.
  2. Add your logo and company details once. They are remembered for next time.
  3. Enter the buyer and the document number and dates.
  4. Add the lines — description, HSN or SAC, quantity, unit and rate. The amounts total themselves.
  5. Add freight, packing, any other charge, discount and the tax that applies, then check the preview.
  6. Print or save as PDF, and check the document against your own requirements before you send it.

When a formatter stops being enough

This tool takes a rate you already know and lays it out. It does not tell you what the rate should be. Working out what a bag costs to make — material by material, process by process — and turning that into a quotation with the margin visible is what Nexora Sales & Costing does. Start with the bag weight calculator, read how bag costing works, or see the quotation module.

Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator really free, and do I need an account?

It is free and there is no account, no sign-up and no limit on how many documents you make. There is nothing to install either — it runs in the browser you are reading this in.

Does my data or my logo get uploaded anywhere?

No. There is no server behind this tool. Your logo is read on your own computer and drawn straight onto the page, and everything you type stays in the tab. Your own company details, terms and bank lines are kept in your browser's local storage so you do not retype them; the buyer and the lines are never kept.

How do I save it as a PDF?

Press Print / Save as PDF and choose "Save as PDF" as the destination in your browser's print dialogue. The on-screen form disappears and only the document prints, and the file is named after the document rather than after this website. If your browser also prints a line of small text at the very top or bottom of the page with a date and a web address, that is its own setting: untick Headers and footers in the print dialogue and it goes away.

What is the difference between a quotation, a proforma invoice and a tax invoice?

A quotation is a price you are offering, valid until a date you set. A proforma invoice is a commitment to supply at that price, usually sent so the buyer can raise a purchase order or arrange payment. A tax invoice is raised against an actual supply and is the document that carries tax. The tool lays out all three; which one you should be issuing is a question for you and your accountant.

Does it make my invoice GST compliant?

No, and it does not claim to. It is a formatting tool. It does not verify a GSTIN or an HSN code, does not decide place of supply or whether CGST and SGST or IGST apply, does not enforce an invoice numbering series, does not generate an IRN or QR code for e-invoicing, and does not produce an e-way bill. Confirming that a document meets every legal and tax requirement that applies to you is entirely your own responsibility. See the terms of use.

When do I use CGST + SGST, and when IGST?

Broadly, a supply within your own state carries CGST and SGST, and a supply to another state carries IGST — but the actual determination depends on place of supply rules that have exceptions, and on your own registration. The tool applies whichever you choose; it does not decide for you. Ask your chartered accountant if you are not certain.

Can I add freight, packing and other charges separately?

Yes, and you should. Freight, packing and one charge you name yourself each sit on their own line, so the rate for the goods stays the rate for the goods. A discount line is there too, and the taxable value is shown before tax is applied.

Can I use it for something other than packaging?

Yes. The line placeholders are woven sack and packaging examples because that is the industry we build for, but nothing in the tool is specific to it. Any business that needs a clean quotation or invoice can use it.

Will my company details still be there next time?

Yes, on the same browser and the same computer. Your logo, company name, address, GSTIN, phone, email, terms and bank lines are remembered locally. Clearing your browser's site data clears them, and they do not follow you to another device.

Can I put my own terms and conditions on it?

Yes, one per line, and they are numbered on the document and remembered for next time. Payment terms, validity of the rate, weight tolerance, and anything else you normally print.

Does it calculate what I should charge?

No — it takes the rate you already know. Working out what a bag costs to make, material by material and process by process, is what Nexora Sales & Costing does, and how bag costing works explains the method.

Why does the total show an amount in words?

Because Indian invoices conventionally carry one, and because it catches typing mistakes — a figure and its words disagree loudly. It follows the Indian system of lakh and crore.
